The idea of these 3 paintings bellow came from a book I had of Vanessa Bell's house called Charleston. Vanessa Bell was an English artist and member of the Bloomsbury Group. The Bloomsbury Group was a influential group of English intellectuals, writers, philosophers and artists. She was also sister of Virginia Woolf that was a writer and member of this same group. They were called Bloomsbury Group because they lived, study or worked around Bloomsbury in London in the first half of 20 century.
I always have been fond of Virginia Woolf since my early 20s when I went to see a famous play of hers called "Who is Afraid Of Virginia Wolf " in my beloved country Brazil. But just recently I got to know about her sister Vanessa Bell when I went last year for a talk about the Bloomsbury Group.
These paintings were inspired by some rooms in her house but will be difficult to identify some of them as I got only the idea from them and add my own view of it and made it my own.
