Crochet, Granny Blanket and Nuno felting...

My knowledge of Knitting and crochet is very basic. I learned it from my grandmother and never really done much till recently when I decided to buy a granny square blanket. The one I liked was very beautiful and big and the price was a bit high so instead I decided to do my own. No idea how to do it I Google and also went to  You tube tutorials on Granny square. The result was this little colourful blanket..it is not the same as the one I saw online but I was happy for my first attempt..

a few months later I added few more to my collection ... this time I bought them

Here are some of my 2015 life drawings they are mainly soft pastel and some Chinese ink mixed with pastel drawings ..I feel the need to try different mediums with my life drawing and one of them is watercolour ..would be a nice change from the black ink to the colour inks..

mixed media drawings

Last term I decided to experiment with paper surfaces. I prepared the papers before drawing the nudes on top. There is the danger of the drawing not looking good and therefore just a waste of  material, time and energy, also of the paper surface being overwhelming and taking over the drawing.. these are the risks we have to take to try new ideas and not getting bored with the same old ways of drawing. Not sure if I would like a busy surface to draw on top all the time but these experiments helped my creative process and enriched my work
   ...Bellow are the results...
